Virgin Bingo

The first time that we stopped by Virgin Bingo for a visit, things didn’t exactly live up to our very high expectations. The hall was okay, but that was it. It was just okay. This is not the standard that we are used to from the Virgin name so when we heard that they had given their hall a complete renovation we weren’t really that surprised. Now let’s go see if the new and improved version is up to our very high standards.

While there have been many key changes throughout the Virgin site, one thing that remains the same is their partnership with St. Minver. Virgin, just like so many of their peers, opened their hall in conjunction with the Bingo giant and the partnership comes with some very sweet player perks. St. Minver is in control of one of the largest 90-ball Bingo networks on the web. We realize that size isn’t everything, but it does make a huge difference in your overall gaming experience. Just imagine what the chat rooms, progressive jackpots, and even the Bingo would be like if you were left playing them all by yourself. We think that you get our point!

Now their must be a dark side to every cloud, and there is one here as well. While having all these new friends to play with is a very good thing, it does make for some stiff competition. You see those jackpots are tempting to each and every player who signs into the hall. We have to admit that we wouldn’t mind taking one home with us. Just remember that your odds of winning are just as good as anyone else and have a good time.

If you want to play then you have to sign up. The process at Virgin Bingo isn’t as bad as some that we have seen, and in fact they do a nice job of keeping things quick and simple. The only improvement that we would suggest for this area would be to add an indicator bar. We had to wait several minutes while all of our information processed and we had no idea of how the process was progressing. This is a small change, but it would at least let you know that things are working and that your computer has not locked up on you.

It feels like we always have bad news when it comes to playing these games using an alternative system, namely Mac. Well while we still have bad news here, it’s not nearly as bad as what we have had to deliver before. You can run the games at Virgin Bingo on a Mac system; you just have to make sure that you are using the right software combination. You see, when you try to use Mac’s standard web browser, Safari, there is no way to get the games to load. But, if you can switch over to Internet Explorer then there should be no problems. It is possible; you just need to have the patience to make it work.

Overall Virgin has taken huge steps to improve the quality of their Bingo hall. We have moved from being very unhappy after our first visit to only finding a few small issues to comment on. Being a part of the St. Minver network does mean that the games you find here will not be unique to the hall, but they are still very popular high interest games. Based on the marked improvements that they have made in such a relatively short amount of time we think that Virgin Bingo could be the right choice for a lot of players. At the very least you should stop by and see all the changes, we think that you just might be impressed!
