In fact Getminted Bingo is just a small part of the Getminted brand, all of which answer to the same source. GlobalCom prides themselves on offering their clients a safe place to play. You can rest at ease knowing that they will not.
We entered the hall wanting so badly to be impressed, and we were not disappointed. It seems as though the designers really did their homework and get things right the first time. While they didn’t go overboard with glitz and glamour, the site still has a very pleasing look. All your options are clearly marked making navigation an easy to master skill. One added benefit to keeping things simple is that it will make the hall load much faster for all of us, especially those with slower connections.
The restrained elegance that we found on the front page managed to flow through the rest of the site. Any questions we found ourselves with we quickly answered by the very helpful, “Get Started,” branch of the site. We thought the entire help section was thorough and clear except for one key area. There was no comprehensive guide on how-to play Bingo. We realize that most people who seek out an online Bingo hall are already gong to have a firm grasp of the game, but there will always be someone grateful that you took the time to explain things. Speaking of time, we were very impressed with the facts given around loading times for dial-up users. The stated time of 2 minutes is both realistic and honest, not to mention much faster than some we have seen.
We never enjoy registering on a new site, but in this case we found ourselves shocked at how incredibly fast the process was. They may ask a few more questions, but they get you through and on to your game. This is a good place to point out a nice feature offered by Getminted Bingo. As you set up your account you are given the option of which currency you wish to use. There are other sites that offer this perk to their players, but it is always nice to see.
Everything has been so easy up to this point, we were expecting to just breeze right through the rest. Well, we were wrong. The best way to describe it’s that it’s like the train just jumped right off the tracks. The simple design of the site does make the load time significantly less than it could be, but it left us wanting once we were in an actual game. The usability of Getminted is just fine. They do their part to provide their players with high energy chat rooms and fun mini games for a nice Bingo break, but they are all served on that same dull platter. The first few pages of the site were so easy to understand and skip through, but once we got here it was like we were in over our heads. We made our way into a game and then could not find a way out. They obvious choice of the exit button proved useless as it did not work, and finding the itty bitty toggle button was like finding a needle in a haystack. When we noticed that Getminted did not offer a good new player guide, our assumption was that they would at least be able to watch and learn. Well, we were wrong. They only way you get to see any actual game is if you are a part of it. Yes, we realize that players can buy a card for only 10p, but they shouldn’t have to. If you go through the trouble of registering for a site you should be able to see what all they have to offer. A welcome bonus or a couple of free games would be a nice touch here, even if you couldn’t win anything from them.
Back to the main page we go to get a little better acquainted with Getminted’s customer support team. We shot off a few well spoken e-mails, mainly because that is the only option they offer, and waited for our replies. Well ladies and gentlemen we are very pleased to announce that this is one area Getminted is right on top of. We would like to see a broader range of contact options, but that fact should not detract from the options already in place. Speaking of places, we did have a rather different experience while digging around the site. You know that Getminted Bingo is a part of a much larger group; well we managed to end up in one of their other sites. We didn’t feel this would be a problem seeing as how there was a link right there to Getminted Bingo. Only problem was the link took us not to Getminted, but to Foxy Bingo. That was not where we were shooting to go.
If you are a fan of solid Bingo and simple visuals, then Getminted Bingo may just be the place for you. The site does have a lot to offer their players, and who knows they may be working to fix those little problems as we speak. Stop by and look for yourself; you may like what you see.
