Blackpool Bingo
When we think of the town of Blackpool, we think of towers and donkeys, the Irish Sea and Bingo. That’s right, Bingo. This little seaside retreat has become known as the playground of the north and their gaming halls are always warm and inviting. Now there is an online version of all that Nordic fun, Blackpool Bingo. We ran to our computers to find out if this would bring back some lovely memories or simply leave us daydreaming.
Now, have you ever heard of a company called, Christchurch Casinos Ltd.? If not here’s a quick background. They have an impeccable reputation, operate out of the beautiful Antigua, and own Blackpool Bingo. That’s right folks; Blackpool Bingo is run out of New Zealand, not Blackpool. Bonus for the people who work on the site, they work near a warm beach not freezing rain.
When you arrive at the online town of Blackpool you will be met with a spectacular show. The graphics and colour choice reflect a new and improved version of the town that we have never seen before. With an abundance of high quality graphics, users with slower connection might experience longer load times. We think you’ll forgive them though once you are in the site and see how easy it is to use. Everything you could ever need is clearly marked and easy to find. Other than a fun picture here and there this is where the Blackpool theme ends. It seems as though very little on the site has anything to do with the actual place.
Blackpool Bingo uses Playtech’s software platform to allow users to access it’s games. Playtech is different from the norm in that it requires a download of their custom software package before players can access the games. The installation is not that tricky and allows for a distinctive Bingo experience. The one drawback we found is that the platform does not currently run on a Mac. So all you Mac players out there won’t have access until something changes. When you do get in though it is so easy to login and play that you won’t believe it. The 90 ball Bingo games run 24/7 and in your downtime you can check out the fun little corner of non-Bingo games offered here. Card prices might be low, 10p each, but don’t forget that you have to buy at least three for each game. And don’t get so wrapped up in your Bingo world that you forget about the jackpots. They start at $200 and are definitely worth looking into.
In most online Bingo halls the chat rooms are a riot, you just never know who you will find, or what they are going to say. Blackpool, with their friendly CM’s and unique style, is no different. The main difference here is that the chat does not load in the main window, but pulls up all on its own. We found this setup to be cluttered, but it did work very well. Give it a try, some people might find they like it better this way. Right now the rooms can be pretty quiet, but as the site catches on in popularity, that is sure to become a thing of the past.
If good promotions are what draw you to a site, then we think Blackpool has something to offer you. Make sure you stop by Paula’s gift shop and check out what she has to offer. This way if you happen to be selected as the Blackpool Player of the Month, you will have your prize all picked out and ready to go. Take notice of the cash bonuses offered here as well. The look like they could prove to be extremely lucrative, you just have to wade through the red tape to figure them out. We thought the whole process was a bit confusing. But confusing or not, the prizes are there, and customer service can always help figure it out.
We got in touch with customer service, and guess what we found out? When they were answering out questions about Mac compatibility they also let us know that a Flash version of Blackpool’s games may be on the horizon. The downside, they had to tell us that in print. Blackpool only offers customer service via live chat, e-mail, and fax. Yes, the answer was prompt and helpful but it would have been so much nicer to hear it from a real person.
In the end Blackpool Bingo really delivers its customers one fantastic 90-ball Bingo game. As the news spreads, look for this site to become more and more popular. No, it doesn’t really feel like being in Blackpool, but the quality of the play is the same. So if you must have a more realistic experience, do what we did, and stick your head in the freezer. It really helps!
